Why we created this webpage
We created the booklet to share key information about the practical steps that take place after someone has died. Because service details like opening times, contact numbers, websites and availability sometimes change, we decided not to include those details in the printed booklet, in order to avoid the risk of sharing outdated information at an already difficult time.
Instead, this web page allows us to keep all of the details you might need up to date, so that you can trust the information is as current and accurate as possible.
There’s also a lot of useful guidance and support available that couldn’t fit in the printed booklet, as its contents focus only on the essential pieces of information you might need, soon after someone dies. This web page provides extra details and options to help you find further support and guidance.
Finding the right information
The resource pages above, provide further information relating to the different parts of the booklet.
These pages include phone numbers and signposting to external websites that we hope you might find useful for accessing further information or support.
We make every effort to ensure the links are up to date and as helpful as possible.
Please note, we don’t own or control these external sites.
Everyone’s needs are different, so please explore the different options to decide what information and guidance is helpful for you, or the person you are supporting.
